The Mastodon batting cage frame system features 8.625″ outside diameter structural steel pipes, coated with the same robust finish used on the Alaska Pipeline. This high-performance coating, STRYK 5388, provides exceptional corrosion resistance, ensuring the frame withstands extreme weather conditions and remains impervious to moisture. Even if the coating is scratched or damaged, STRYK 5388 continues to protect, preventing corrosion and fungal growth.
Our innovative cable tensioning system, comprising galvanized hardware and 3/16" aircraft cable, guarantees that your net will hang perfectly without significant sag. This system includes galvanized steel carabiners, cable clamps, thimble eye nuts, eye bolts, institutional-grade threaded rod, and curved washers, all designed to maintain optimal cable tension and structural integrity.
The Mastodon system offers flexible installation options with single or multi-stall configurations. Each pole is prepared to accept our tensioning hardware, ensuring a seamless setup process. The frame allows for free and clear spans up to 85' in either direction, providing a spacious and unobstructed training environment.
